Police in West Virginia say a suspected bank robber was captured after taking a cab to the heist. Media outlets report 25-year-old Ryan Michael Stepanian was arrested in Monday's robbery of a Charles Town bank and another bank heist Friday in nearby Ranson.
South Charleston Police are asking for the public's help to identify a man suspected of using a stolen credit card. Officers say the incident happened at a convenience store in South Charleston.

A local woman has been arrested and charged after the shooting of a man in Lumberport. According to Sheriff Robert Matheny, 33-year-old Melissa Anne McAtee is charged with first degree murder in the shooting death of David Cottrill. The two are said to have been in a long-term relationship.

Charleston Police detectives are looking for a man considered armed and dangerous following a shooting Saturday afternoon. Police say Harold Battle, 47, from Charleston shot Brandon Hearns, 35, in the leg. Battle is now wanted on malicious wounding charges, as Hearns fights for his life with critical injuries. Police have not been able to interview him yet, because he is undergoing medical procedures and is incapacitated, according to detectives.
